Police in Colorado are looking into what seems to be a fight between Rep. Boebert and her ex-husband.
It’s Sit in Colorado (AP) — On Sunday, police in Silt, Colorado, stated that they are looking into what happened between U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert and her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, at a restaurant.
Whatever happened on Saturday is still not clear, but on Sunday, Boebert’s campaign said that she “didn’t punch Jayson in the face” and that no one was jailed.
I’m going to talk to my lawyer about the lies he told about me and look at all of my legal choices.
Police Chief Mike Kite stated that an investigation was ongoing but wouldn’t say more, like who called the police.
Kite said that police would talk to witnesses and ask the restaurant owners for any videos that might have caught what happened.
The restaurant Miner’s Claim is closed on Sundays, and I was waiting for someone to pick up the phone when I called.
When asked for a reply on Facebook, Jayson Boebert waited to answer.
“This is sad for everyone, and it’s another reason I’m moving,” Lauren Boebert said.
Boebert, a Republican, has been in the U.S. House for two terms, serving the state’s western side.
On December 27, she announced that she would be running for a seat on the federal level representing the eastern side of Colorado.
The spot is now open because Republican U.S. Rep. Ken Buck is leaving office.
In her current district, Boebert probably would have had to face a Democratic opponent who came close to beating her in the 2022 race and has raised a lot more money than she has.
Boebert and a friend were kicked out of a ” Beetlejuice ” musical performance in Denver in September because other people said they were smoking, singing, using their phones, and making a lot of noise. She later said sorry.
Boebert has become well-known across the country in her short time in Washington, D.C., and she has become more like the far-right of the GOP.
People have talked about how assertive she is; the most famous time was when she booed President Joe Biden during his 2022 State of the Union speech.
